Arjopa

Arjopa is the only female Khoomeiji (Throatsinger) from the Western World (born in Berlin, Germany) wich got accepted by famous Tuvan Masters, like Albert Kuvezin (Yat-Kha), Mongün-ool Ondar (Chirgilchin), Kongar-ool Ondar (Movie "Genghis Blues") and Genady Tchamzyrym (Gendos).

Arjopa & her Band perform an unique mixture out of Tuvan Throatsinging (Khoomei), vocals, voice acrobatics, hypnotic drums, energetic strings, Mouth Harp flangers and lyrics in 4 languages (German, English, Russian & Tuvan).

Their Ethno Jazz & Electronic Folk is a powerful synthesis of modern western music & traditional asian voice technics. Within minutes Arjopa sends ordiance to Dyngledey - the deep shamanic trance beyond space & time. Her music makes even Taiga Spirits dance!

BIO

Arjopa born and raised in Berlin. Deeply connected with russian/siberian music spirit of her ancestors, that moved from Southern Siberia to Berlin/Germany in early 20th century.
